• WHY DO WE NEED A WANZA PREMISES?
  
  
  • Its an accepted fact that any organisation that has its own premises thrives better then one that dose not.
  • It provides a sence of belonging and a centre for making new friends, espicially for new generations.
  • It provides a place for the elderly to enhance their retirement years by sharing their remaining lives with people they know and can reminise about the past.
  • It provides a centre of entertainment and a place to exchange ideas and views for the middle aged.
  • It provides a centre for promoting unity and strenghtening of Wanza Gujarati and Hindu Faiths.
  • It provides a 'Home' to enhance our existing activities and develope new ones.
  • It provides a 'Home' for our Wanza Faith Gods (Guru Gopal Lal and Hingraj Ma) and indeed all other Hindu gods to strength our religious beliefs.
  • Finally it would provide an investment that we gift to our Wanza future generations.
    
    
• WHAT SPECIFIC FACILITIES ARE WE AIMING TO PROVIDE?
  
  
  • A Temple for Hingraj Ma and Guru Gopal Lal and other Gods.
  • Sports facilities - Badminton,Table Tennis,Carrom,Volleyball,Snooker,Pool,Darts,etc.
  • Health and fitness classes - Aerobic,Yoga,Meditation Faith,Healing Sessions,Gymnasium,etc
  • Health awareness seminars including diet,cancer support,diabetes,coronary diseases etc.
  • Learning classes including English,Gujarati,Computer,Music,etc.
  • Regular meeting place and functions for the elderly.
  • Regular meeting place for the youngsters with facilities for parties big game screening of football and cricket matches,library and study areas.
  • Clubhouse for informal get togethers for all ages with special nights for youngsters,ladies and gents.
  • Hall facilities for small functions like engagements,bhajans,birthdays,shrimants,discos,committee and other meetings etc for our members and other communities.
  • Storage facilities for our assets like sound equipment,computer,books and records etc.
    
    
• WHAT ABOUT THE LOCATION OF OUR PREMISES?
  
  
  • We have approximately 600 households within North,Northwest and West London.
  • Hence it is only viable to purchase the property within easy reach of majority of our members.
  • The Project Group has therefore agreed that our primary areas are Brent and Harrow with secondary areas being suitable boroughs surrounding them like Greenford,Ealing,Kingsbury,Edgware,Stanmore, Northwood etc.
    
    
• WHAT ABOUT THE FINANCIAL ASPECTS?
  
  
  • As you know we HAVE TO PREPARE OUR FUNDING FIRST before we can decide on the size of the property we can afford or indeed make any offer.
  • We are therefore seeking FOUNDER DONOR pledges of £2500 (NOT NECESSARILY PAYABLE NOW) Per independent family.
  • Out of our 600 households in Northwest.We need atleast 300 pledges to purchase a reasonable first home of around 1.2m.
  • However in order to purchase a bigger and better property we would need to exceed this expectation to atleast 400/500 pledges.
    
    
• ARE YOU A FOUNDER DONOR?
  
  
  • If not please think generously and give a few bricks to your Samaj from your main asset or assets i.e house or houses.
  • Yes you can afford to donate if you believe in the cause,believe in our community,believe in leaving an invaluable gift for your future generations.
    
    
• WAYS OF AFFORDING THE DONATION !!
  
  
  • Remember payment dose not have to be made now. only when an offer is accepted on a property.
  • However to ease the cashflow burden, payments can be made by standing order of £100 or more per month and balance on an offer being accepted.
  • We are requesting you to donate only approx 1% of your house value.
  • Please think of the amounts one spends on luxuries like a new car, holidays, extensions, and even basic materialistic items like carpets,curtains,second car etc. A one off donation of £2500 is small compared to these regular expenditures.
  • Remember,higher rate tax payers could get a refund of appox £500 from the inland revenue thereby reducing their payment to £2000.

  • Whilst we have send request letters to all our members. The follow up process of house-to-house calls has not yet commenced.
  • In spite of non-follow up so far, we have recieved an incrediable 53 Founder Donor pledges total value £ 132.500 !!
